LQS PULASTIC W – One-component polyurethane waterproofing membrane

APPLICATIONS

LQS PULastic W is suitable for waterproofing the following structures:

• Concrete roofs, balconies, terraces.
• Basements, tunnels, foundations.
• Bathroom floors and other damp areas.
• Planter boxes, inspection pits, swimming pools.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

Surface Preparation:

• Clean the surface thoroughly to remove dirt, dust, and grease before waterproofing.
• Repair cracks and defects on concrete or cement surfaces prior to application.

Primer Application:

• Apply LQS AQUA PRIMER primer at a coverage of 0.1 – 0.2 kg/m².
• Apply LQS PULastic W waterproofing layer approximately 2 hours after the primer.
• If LQS PULastic W is not applied within 48 hours after priming, the surface must be re-primed.

Usage:

• Stir LQS PULastic W thoroughly before use.
• Apply LQS PULastic W by brushing, rolling, or spraying at 0.6 – 0.8 kg/m² per coat.
• For vertical surfaces, apply two lighter coats to achieve the required film thickness and avoid sagging, especially in hot environments. Apply coats at right angles to each other for uniform coverage.
• If water testing is required after application, wait at least 10 days. The first coat must dry before applying the second. The second coat should always be applied within 12 hours after the first coat dries.
• Protect the waterproofing layer from water contact for 60 – 120 minutes until it is touch dry.

Application Notes:

• All sharp corners should be filled with mortar fillets at least 25×25 mm before applying LQS PULastic W.
• All edges, protrusions, and recesses should be pre-treated by extending the LQS PULastic W membrane 50 – 100 mm onto adjacent surfaces. These treated areas should dry overnight before applying the main membrane.
• In critical areas, reinforcement with appropriate fiberglass mesh can be used to strengthen LQS PULastic W.
• For additional protection, a cement mortar layer can be applied over the waterproofing membrane. This mortar should be mixed with LQS Latex at a ratio of 5 liters of LQS Latex per 1 cubic meter of cement mortar.

Cleaning:

• Clean equipment and tools with clean water before LQS PULastic W dries.
• Once cured, the material can only be removed by mechanical means.
