CONSTRUCTION SEQUENCE

CONSTRUCTION STATUS SURVEY

Based on the design drawings and project requirements, the current status survey at the locations where waterproofing will be applied, including the following issues:

Actual status after rough construction Check the vertical, horizontal and handover surfaces to have appropriate construction methods.

Determine the standard elevation, check the flatness of foundation, wall, slope. Survey construction conditions such as elevator, scaffolding, electricity and water and possible construction time.

SUITABLE SOLUTION BROWSER

Waterproofing solutions suitable for the current status, area and function of the project.

PRODUCTION & DELIVERY

Based on the order, construction progress, the factory will produce in order, and the finished product will be delivered to the construction site. When delivering, include a delivery note, a list of stone layout drawings with coded stones for each item.

CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISION AT THE SITE

Construction supervision is based on the provided technical construction documents, supervision is carried out according to the following steps:

Check and determine the benchmark according to the technical documents and the standard level handed over at the site;

Conduct goods inspection, hand over the correct quantity.

Select and supervise construction according to layout drawings, comply with issued construction methods

ACCEPTANCE – HANDOVER FOR PUTTING INTO USE

Acceptance is the final step to re-determine the actual construction volume and
evaluate technical factors.

During the acceptance process, the investor and the construction unit will base on the construction plan prepared by
the contractor with the attached volume sheet.

After the two parties agree, the contractor will make a completion drawing to finalize the project

 SOME APPLICATION METHODS

Surface Preparation:

  • Prepare the substrate to ensure complete removal of dirt, curing film, mold oil or other harmful substances by blowing lightly.
  • Vacuum the prepared surface to remove dust. If using compressed air to blow the surface clean, it is essential that the compressed air is free of oil.
  • Fill all “blowing holes” and surface irregularities using a suitable repair material

Priming/Priming:

  • If the moisture content of the concrete is not less than 75% when tested in accordance with BS8203 Appendix 4, SpECtop Primer FX shall be applied prior to the application of the priming system.
  • SpECtop Primer FX should be applied to the prepared surface with a stiff brush at a rate of 5.0 m2/litre.
  • If the primer appears to be readily absorbed into the surface, the alcohol Apply a second coat after the first coat has dried.
  • It is important that the primer is dry before applying the topcoat. SpECcoat CRE200 should be applied 8-24 hours after priming. If this time is exceeded, the primed surface should be lightly sanded and a new coat of primer applied.

Application:

  • Mix SpECcoat CRE200 with a heavy duty drill using a paddle. It is recommended that the entire hardener component be poured into the old powder sold in the tin pail and continue mixing for 5 minutes.

Apply the first coat of the product by brush, roller or airless spray equipment to produce a wet film thickness of 150pm – 200pm (0.2 litre / square meter). This should be checked regularly using a wet film thickness gauge.

  • Let the first coat dry.
  • Apply the second coat as in step 9, rechecking the thickness using a wet film thickness gauge.
  • Let the coating cure for 7 days before putting it into operation.
